DENVER -- Charlie Frye will start at quarterback over former starter JaMarcus Russell when the Oakland Raiders visit the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Coach Tom Cable said Wednesday that Russell will be his No. 2 quarterback, with the newly signed J.P. Losman third.
Frye has not played at all this year and worked strictly with Oakland's scout team.
ARLINGTON, Texas -- For more than a year, the Texas Longhorns agonized over falling 1 second short of getting into the Big 12 and national championship games.
This season, they're conference champions and headed to the BCS title game because a video replay showed they still had one second left.
BALTIMORE -- A woman has taken out a temporary restraining order against Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs.
The document was filed in District Court of Maryland on Friday. The order dictates that Suggs cannot abuse, contact or enter the residence of the woman, pending a court hearing on Dec. 11.
There is no arrest record for Suggs. Ravens spokesman Kevin Byrne said the team is "aware of the situation" and has "discussed the matter with Terrell."
The news was first reported by ABC2News.

Athletic director Jack Swarbrick announced Friday that the school has decided against going to a bowl game with a 6-6 record, citing "unique circumstances." Swarbrick said he reached the decision after meetings with assistant coaches and team leaders.
Now that the Tennessee Titans are humming again and threatening to crash the playoff party, it's time to ask: What's the deal with Vince Young?
I mean, a year ago he was benched and all but discarded. Now he's not only back in the starting lineup, he's back to winning football games.
TEMPE, Ariz. -- There are many labels in Larry Fitzgerald's book of dreams.
Super Bowl champion. MVP. NFL's best wideout.
Here's one he never envisioned: possession receiver.
"No, no, no," the Arizona Cardinals star said. "I'm a receiver, so I'm a diva inside. I want that money ball."
Through 11 games this season, he has yet to cash in.

December means three things to me: Santa down the chimney, snow on the ground and Tony Romo in the dumpster. The Dallas quarterback is as effective in December as mittens in Miami, which means this is the time of year we discover exactly what quarterback he is.
PHILADELPHIA -- Tight end Brent Celek signed a six-year contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, becoming the latest player to get a long-term deal with the team.

PITTSBURGH -- Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has worked out without problems since missing Sunday night's game in Baltimore with a concussion and is expected to play Sunday against Oakland.
Roethlisberger was held out of the 20-17 overtime loss to the Ravens after having post-practice headaches Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. A team doctor recommended Saturday that the quarterback not play, and coach Mike Tomlin agreed.
While the Steelers did not practice on Monday, Roethlisberger worked out on his own and did not have any problems, Tomlin said.
